Who will the Dallas Cowboys draft at pick 12 on Thursday?
Well that depends entirely on who will be available. I have heard some rumors about a few potential picks for Dallas.
So I have created what I believe the Cowboys draft board will look like on Thursday. The list features some players who it would be a miracle to be available at 12 and some players who aren’t projected to be highly drafted but have been linked to Dallas at 12.
It reads as simple, you start with the highest player – if he’s available you pick him, if not go down to the next guy. Repeat until you have the pick.

The Cowboys are rumored to have less than 10 first round grades. Jerry Jones said during the pre-draft press conference that they are working on “pretty substantive trades.”
Including, fielding calls to trade back out of the 12th pick.
- McMillan is being moved into the “shouldn’t be there but do cartwheels if he is” category. His name has been linked to Jacksonville (5), Las Vegas (6) and New Orleans (9). ↩︎
- Golden is the current favorite to be the pick in the draft community. He was one of the few players to do a ‘private’ 30-visit and has been mocked to Dallas by many media scouts. ↩︎
- Johnson is rumored to be high on their draft board, but his unwillingness to run a 40-yard dash and concerns about his speed are evident and may get him pushed down. ↩︎
- Booker is a true guard, and would set you up for 5 good years at right guard. I have heard about 50/50 that the Cowboys are considering offensive line vs. there is no chance they pick offensive line. ↩︎
- Nolen was linked to the Cowboys by a report of three names from Jane Slater made the Wednesday before the draft. The caveat, Nolen along with RB Omarion Hampton and Edge James Pearce Jr, have all been linked as picks if the Cowboys decide to trade down from pick 12. ↩︎
