About

Hi, I’m Brett Bender and I am a graduate student at the University of North Texas pursuing my MBA in Sports Entertainment Management. I gradated from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2025, studying digital media.

I moved to Texas in 2020, and have been following the Dallas Cowboys for my whole life. I did not get to experience the glory days of the ’90s Superbowl winning teams but my older brothers did. They helped grow my interest in the team and I began watching when I was just a kid…but that was only in 2010.

Regardless, I am a huge history buff, so throughout my life, I have studied and learned everything about the team and its roots all the way back to 1960. I also love looking at statistics and applying them critically to the team. Over the past few years of being closer to the team, I have developed a passion for roster building and the NFL Draft, and enjoy analyzing those elements as well.

It has been a lifelong goal to work in the media for the Cowboys and become a journalist, which is why I started this blog, to get a feel for sports writing and just to exercise my love for writing and the Dallas Cowboys.

In my blog, I will follow the Cowboys closely with each of their matchups, provide analysis, opinions, and break down some game film.
